DriftLock

Privacy

DriftLock is made by Joeckel Design & Development. This page covers the DriftLock desktop app, the browser extension and this website.

The desktop app and extension

DriftLock runs on your computer. Its guard decisions, session history and settings are stored locally. Your code, prompts, files and tool output are not sent to us.

  • AI activity records which programs on your computer connect to which AI services. It never reads what those connections contain, and the record stays on your computer.
  • The browser extension checks pages and pastes in your browser and reports only to the DriftLock app on the same computer.
  • Updates: the app checks our download server for new versions. That request reveals your IP address and app version to the server, as any download does.
  • Your own AI keys: if you use DriftLock's guarded task runner with your own Anthropic or OpenAI key, requests go directly from your computer to that provider under their terms.

The DriftLock Console

When the Console launches, companies that use it will send policy to their machines and receive block events from them. Those events describe what was blocked and why. This section will be expanded before the Console is generally available.

This website

  • Waitlist: if you join, we store your email address and which product you're interested in, and use them only to contact you about DriftLock. Ask us any time and we'll delete them.
  • Hosting: the site runs on Microsoft Azure, which keeps standard server logs such as IP addresses and request times.
  • Visit analytics: a small first-party script records which pages are viewed, how long and how far people scroll, the referring site and campaign tags, and your timezone and screen size. It uses no cookies; its session ID lives only in your browser tab and is gone when you close it. It never reads what you type.
  • We don't use advertising trackers or sell personal information.
